In the large scale continuous mining operation in the Central Asia mining zone, roadway advance exploration and underground geological survey are essential safety pre work for daily coal mining. The local mine features complex and variable stratum conditions, with interbedded soft coal seams and thin hard rock layers. Traditional ordinary drill bits often face common construction problems in actual operation, including thread mismatching, difficult tool assembly, stuck drilling, poor slag discharge and rapid tool wear.


The mine’s original drilling tools have unstable connection accuracy, which is prone to loosening and shaking during high speed rotary drilling. This not only seriously reduces drilling efficiency, but also increases the frequency of tool replacement and underground construction risks. The customer urgently needed a batch of standard, high precision and high stability coal drill bits with universal M24 thread to match their existing complete set of drill rod equipment, so as to meet the long term, high intensity roadway exploration and coal rock drilling work requirements.

Solution We Provided

According to the local mine stratum characteristics and customer’s equipment matching standards, we provided a large batch of standardized 50M24 coal drill bits tailored for complex coal rock interbedded working conditions. This series of drill bits adopts a scientific and optimized overall structure, with a precise 50mm drilling diameter and standard M24 internal thread. All threads are processed by CNC precision machining with strict tolerance control, achieving perfect compatibility with mainstream M24 threaded drill rods on the market.

The drill bit body is forged from high strength alloy steel, with excellent overall rigidity and toughness, effectively resisting impact and vibration during long term underground drilling. Equipped with high quality tungsten carbide alloy cutting teeth, it maintains efficient cutting performance when facing mixed coal and rock strata. In addition, we optimized the bit’s slag discharge tank structure, which greatly improves the smoothness of coal dust and rock debris discharge, avoids hole blockage and drilling jamming, and fully adapts to continuous cyclic drilling operations in complex roadways.
