The G10 Air Pick Rock Splitter is a non-explosive rock breaking tool specifically engineered for use with pneumatic picks. This innovative system utilizes a wedge-and-rod assembly that harnesses the high-frequency impact of pneumatic equipment to efficiently split rock formations.
Working Principle
The system consists of one wedge-shaped central plug and two curved side plates (feathers). The central plug features a longitudinal groove, while the side plates fit precisely against the slanted surfaces. During operation, a circular hole is drilled using a rock drill, followed by insertion of the curved iron pieces. The wedge-shaped central rod is then positioned and driven deeper by the pneumatic pick's high-frequency impacts, causing the side plates to spread and apply lateral tension that cracks the rock along predetermined directions.
Material Specifications
All components are forged from high-strength alloy steel and undergo specialized heat treatment to achieve a hardness of HRC 48-55. This ensures exceptional impact resistance, wear durability, and a service life exceeding 500 uses.
