All HENGLONG shank adapters are made from premium steel, then carburized and CNC-machined. This process gives them superior toughness and anti-fatigue strength to meet the most demanding drilling conditions. We can manufacture all shanks with either male or female threads, fully tailored to customer's specific requirements.
The shank adapter functions to transmit rotation torque, feed force and impact energy, and convey flushing medium to the drill string (including extension drill rods and drifting drill steels). HENGLONG shank adapters are crafted from specially selected materials and hardened via carburizing to withstand the high impact power of modern rock drills. HENGLONG currently offers around 300 different shank adapters, each compatible with specific rock drills including Atlas Copco, Sandvik, Tamrock, and Garden Diver series drifters.
Designed for optimal performance, our shank adapters effectively transmit rotation torque, feed force and impact energy while seamlessly conveying flushing medium to the drill string.
Male shank adapters are better suited for drifting, tunneling and extension applications where high bending stresses are present. Female shank adapters are used in scenarios where drilling space is limited and total feed length matters, such as in underground roof bolting.
